Compostable lunch at UCB…

Just had a nice vegetarian compostable lunch here in Berkeley, from a nice café on Campus. Most restaurants in the neighbourhood seems excited about using more compostable and wood-based materials. That makes me excited!
On campus there are special bins for compostable waste, such as the one in the photo. They need an industrial site to be efficiently degraded, slower if thrown in nature. Those sites creates jobs and the idea has never anyway been to make us throw plastics in the nature. For me it is about using renewable resources more and more and more.. and take part in the renewable revolution. Applying more circular concepts and thinking, where these set-ups can help a lot.
